Twelve regular channels
I. Classification of names
The twelve meridians is symmetrically distributed on both sides of the human body and walks along the inner or outer side of the upper limb or lower limb respectively. Every meridian belongs to viscera or "fu-organs", so the name of every meridian in the twelve meridians includes three parts: hand or foot, yin or yang, viscera or fu-organs. The hand meridian runs in the upper limb and the foot meridian runs in the lower limb; Yin meridian runs on the inside of limbs and belongs to viscera, while Yang meridian runs on the outside of limbs and belongs to viscera.

Second, the trend, transition, distribution, exterior-interior relationship and flow order.
1, trend and handover law
The trend and handover of the twelve meridians have certain rules. "Spiritual Pivot is Obedient and Fat" says: "The third yin of the hand and the third yang of the hand start from the hand; The foot of three yang, the first line; Foot three yin, self-sufficient to the abdomen. " That is, the Sanyin Meridian of the hand moves from the chest to the tip of the finger and meets the Sanyang Meridian; The Sanyang Meridian of the hand crosses the Sanyang Meridian from the finger tip to the head and face. The three Yang meridians of the foot intersect with the Yin San meridians of the foot from the head to the toe. The three yin of the foot move to the abdomen and chest through the toes, and meet each other, forming a circular path of "Yin and Yang intersect, like an endless ring".

2. Distribution law
The distribution of the twelve meridians on the body surface also has certain rules. In the limbs, the yang meridian is distributed outside the limbs, and the yin meridian is distributed inside the limbs. The outer side is divided into three yang, and the inner side is divided into three yin. Generally speaking, Yangming and Taiyin are at the leading edge, the sun and Shaoyin are at the trailing edge, and Shaoyang and Jueyin are at the midline. Head and face, Yangming meridian runs on face and forehead; The sun passes through the cheeks, head and back of the head; Shaoyang meridian runs on the head side. In the trunk, the three yang meridians of the hand run on the scapula; The three yang meridians of the foot run in the front (chest and abdomen), the sun meridians run in the back (back and waist), and the shaoyang meridians run in the side. The Sanyinjing of the hand goes out from the armpit, and the Sanyinjing of the foot runs in the abdomen. The meridians running along the abdomen are, from inside to outside, Foot Shaoyin, Foot Yangming, Foot Taiyin and Foot Jueyin.

3. Exterior-interior relationship
Hand, foot and Yin San Yang communicate with each other through meridians, forming six pairs of "exterior-interior combination" relationship. Hand Yangming large intestine meridian and hand Taiyin lung meridian are exterior and interior; The triple energizer meridian of hand shaoyang and pericardium meridian of hand jueyin are exterior and interior; Hand Taiyang small intestine meridian and hand Shaoyin heart meridian are exterior and interior; Stomach Meridian of Foot Yangming and Spleen Meridian of Foot Taiyin are exterior and interior; The gallbladder meridian of foot shaoyang and liver meridian of foot jueyin are exterior and interior; The bladder meridian of foot Taiyang and kidney meridian of foot Shaoyin are exterior and interior. On the route of circulation, the two meridians of exterior-interior relationship meet at the ends of limbs and run in the relative positions on the inside and outside of limbs. Because of the relationship between the twelve meridians and Yin and Yang, brothers and sisters cooperate with each other in physiology and influence each other in pathology.
Yin Meridian and Yang Meridian are exterior and interior to each other, and there is a parallel relationship in the body, that is, Yin Meridian belongs to viscera and Yang Meridian belongs to fu organs. For example, Taiyin lung meridian of hand belongs to lung collateral and large intestine meridian, and Yangming large intestine meridian of hand belongs to large intestine meridian and lung; Foot Yangming stomach meridian belongs to stomach winding spleen, and foot Taiyin spleen meridian belongs to spleen winding stomach; The heart meridian of hand shaoyin belongs to heart winding small intestine, and the heart meridian of hand taiyang small intestine belongs to small intestine winding heart; The bladder meridian of Foot Taiyang belongs to the bladder meridian and kidney, and the kidney meridian of Foot Shaoyin belongs to the bladder meridian of kidney collateral. The triple energizer meridian of hand shaoyang belongs to triple energizer pericardium meridian, and the pericardium meridian of hand jueyin belongs to pericardium triple energizer. The gallbladder meridian of foot shaoyang belongs to gallbladder collateral, and the liver meridian of foot jueyin belongs to liver collateral and gallbladder collateral. The connection between exterior and interior of the twelve meridians not only strengthens the connection due to the connection between exterior and interior meridians, but also makes the internal and external zang-fu organs coordinate with each other in physiological functions and affect each other in pathology, for example, heart fire can descend to the small intestine. They are also mutually useful in therapy. Acupoints of exterior and interior veins can be used alternately. For example, acupoints of spleen meridian can be used to treat stomach or stomach meridian diseases.
4. Process sequence
The twelve meridians is distributed inside and outside the human body, and the circulation of qi and blood in the meridians is continuous, starting from the lung meridian of the hand Taiyin, then spreading to the liver meridian of the foot Jueyin, and then to the lung meridian of the hand Taiyin.
