Virgin Mary appears 'miraculous' in 13-year-old chalk drawings
According to local Mexican media, the chalk drawing of the Virgin Mary was on the asphalt of a parking lot. After a man threw a pot of water on the pavement, the image suddenly appeared.
At first, people didn't know where the image came from, but after photos of the image were circulated online, the local authorities revealed that it was painted by an unknown artist during the Bella Vía celebrations in 2007, but no one knew why it had lasted, or gone unnoticed, for 13 years. No one knows why it has lasted, or not been noticed, for 13 years.
Some locals have described the reappearance of the painting as a miracle, given how much the parking lot has changed. Many devotees come to worship and place flowers and candles next to the painting.
City staff said the parking lot had been resurfaced and the painting would have been erased by weather several years ago.
Félix Palomo, director of culture for the Guadalupe City Council, shared a photo of the mysterious chalk drawing on Twitter. He wrote: "Whether you believe in miracles or not, the question is how did this image reappear 13 years after its creation?"
The famous spot is now fenced off with traffic cones and often splashed with water to make the Madonna chalk drawing image more visible.
How the chalk drawing has survived the weather elements and the constant traffic is still a mystery. No expert has been able to provide any explanation.
According to The Sun, this "miracle" is also being discussed online by believers and realists alike, with one user, Juan Jondred, saying that people who believe in it are simply stupid. That's why Mexico can't progress." But it also attracted netizens with the same statement back, "This is why you will not progress, because you will not believe in others."
Statue of Our Lady of Italy sheds tears of blood
A boy allegedly witnessed for the first time on August 3 a statue of Our Lady of the World in a square in the southern Italian town of Carmiano, shedding what looked like tears of blood. The news spread, attracting a large number of people to come to venerate and pray.
From the photos and videos taken by the people, it can be seen that the statue has a brown liquid on its right cheek, which seems to be coming out of its right eye.
The diocesan bishop's agent, Don Luigi Manca, argued that whether this is paranormal or just a paint smear, it's a good sign of a message of goodness.
However, some internet users claimed that it was a sign of misfortune on behalf of the year 2020.
