Can bean seeds still be planted if they are aged for a year?
The shelf life of bean seeds at room temperature is only a little more than a year, and if you save bean seeds for a few years, they won't germinate even if they aren't bad and go to plant. In the unlikely event that they do germinate, only a very small number of them do. When they do germinate, they may not grow well, and they are also prone to attracting diseases and pests, so basically they are very difficult to grow. Therefore, it is not recommended to use aged bean seeds for planting.
