Its connotation is mainly manifested in five aspects: First, Nandan is rich in cinnabar and produces cinnabar culture. Nandan has a long history of mining cinnabar. According to the Records of Qingyuan Prefecture published in the 19th year of Qing Qianlong, Nandan was called Nandan because it was rich in cinnabar (Cinnabar) and paid tribute to the court, because it was located in the south. Therefore, the history of cinnabar mining itself is a kind of culture; Second, the ancient myth of "alchemy" is circulating in Nandan. According to legend, Luo Tan, the younger brother of Tusi Luo of Nandan Zhuang nationality, saw through the world of mortals and amassed wealth. He built the "Sanshan Chishui Palace" for Taoist alchemy in Ludan Mountain, Changli Village, Wu 'ai, and prayed for immortality. Today, there are still 7 acres of alchemy and monastery sites on Mount Lu Dan. Third, Nandan is short for place name, which can be described as "Dan". "Dan", that is, cinnabar, is a kind of red, red essence, and the spirit of Chinese studies is highly concise. At the same time, it shows that Dan is a legend of cinnabar, a mineral deposit everywhere, a fragrant wine, a unique style, a cultural heritage, a spiritual home, a sincere heart and a temptation to never grow old. Fourthly, the traditional folk culture of Nandan nationality is profound and unique. Nandan is inhabited by 13 ethnic groups, including Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, Shui and Buyi. For thousands of years, all ethnic groups have created traditional folk culture that shines with unique light. Among them, Bai Ku Yao costumes, Nandan folk bronze drum art, Zhuang buried horses, etc. are included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list; Fifth, "Dan culture" can be divided into narrow sense and broad sense. The narrow sense of "Dan culture" refers to the cultural phenomenon formed in the process of collecting Dan, refining Dan and using Dan. "Dan culture" in a broad sense refers to the culture that exists in Nandan, including the culture that originated in Nandan and was created by local or overseas Nandan people. It covers Nandan's history and culture, tourism culture, landscape culture, intangible cultural heritage, cultural relics, traditional customs and ethnic and folk festivals, and so on. Innovation is an inexhaustible motive force for cultural development and prosperity. Based on Nandan's unique and colorful advantages in cultural resources, and in line with the development requirements of cultural practice, Nandan County Party Committee and government put forward a new viewpoint of "Great Southern Culture", and made a systematic and comprehensive summary of Nandan County's culture. I believe that "Dan culture" will be widely recognized by the people of all ethnic groups in the county and will become the most extensive advanced culture representing Nandan.
