Shi (formerly known as Gong Danjiao) is a national first-class actor and vice chairman of Shanghai Dramatists Association.

Shi was enlightened by Wudan, and studied under the famous Wudan actor, Peking Opera educator and vocal expert Lu. 1999 graduated from the first graduate class of outstanding young Peking Opera actors in China.
