1, Chang'e

Chang'e, Chang'e, also known as Heng I, Hou Yi, Chang'e, Su'e, Yi's wife, because of stealing and eating the medicine that will not die and ascended to the moon palace. The story of Chang'e first appeared in the Shang Dynasty's trigram book, Gui Zang (归藏).

The complete story of Chang'e's flight to the moon was first recorded in the Western Han Dynasty in the Huai Nan Zi (淮南子-览冥训). During the Eastern Han Dynasty, the husband-and-wife relationship between Chang'e and Yi was established, and Chang'e became a toad pounding medicine after entering the Moon Palace. After the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the image of Chang'e returned to a daughter's body.

In Han portraits, Chang'e has a human head with a snake's body, her head in a high bun, wearing a long jacket with wide sleeves, and her long tail is decorated with a barb-like thin short feather. After the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Chang'e's image was depicted as a supreme beauty. Chen Shubao, the later lord of the Southern Dynasty, once compared his favorite concubine Zhang Lihua to Chang'e. The poet Bai Juyi of the Tang Dynasty used Chang'e to praise the inimitable appearance of a neighboring girl.

2, Liu Shenxiang

Liu Shenxiang, the male protagonist in the ancient folklore "Baolian Lantern" (Splitting the Mountain to Save the Mother), the grandson of Xiyue, the son of the Three Sacred Mothers and Liu Xie (the word Yancang, also said to be known as Liu Xiang), and the grandson of the Great Emperor of Xiyue and the Three Ladies of Huashan.

Uncles are Erlang of Huashan and Sanlang of Huashan (not Erlang Shen, the god of irrigation), and his master is Thunderbolt Immortal (first set up as Sun Wukong's master, Sinking Xiang, in the '99 Baolian Lantern cartoon).

The story is circulated in the play Ertang Shezi, which belongs to one of the twists in the Po Lin Lantern.

3. Nezha

Nezha is a deity in ancient Chinese mythology, whose Sanskrit name is translated as "Na La Tian", and is also written as Na Cha, Na Shou, Na Tcha, Na Tcha, and Na Shou, etc. Folkloric beliefs honor him as the Prince of the Prince, and his name is Zhongtan Yuan Shuai (中坛元帅), which means that he is a general of the gods, revered by Buddhists, Taoists, and Confucians alike.
