Is there a difference between different shapes of necks in folk guitars?
Common shapes are mainly U-shaped, C-shaped and V-shaped. The first two are more common. The u-shaped neck is thicker, but the fingerboard is narrower. If your fingers are not too short and you like to play rhythmically, a U-neck is a good choice. The neck of the C-type piano is the thinnest, but the fingerboard is slightly wider than that of the U-type piano, which is suitable for solo or fast playing, but the compatibility of other styles is also good. V-shaped is not common. Generally speaking, type C is most suitable for Asian hand type, but it is not absolute. It is still necessary to determine the appropriate neck type through playing test.
