A stitch of Guangdong embroidery. A kind of embroidery. Embroidery similar to weaving is used to express image characteristics. Eye-catching needle is a hexagonal eye-catching needle in embroidery.

There are two ways to embroider awnings:

(1) First, the bottom layer is embroidered with sewing needles, that is, an olive shape is formed between the wool, and then a thread is horizontally pressed near the intersection, thus the awning is embroidered.

(2) After the bottom layer is finished, a diamond shape is embroidered with wool twist needles, and then the diamond shape is woven and embroidered according to the shape of the awning. The former method is simple to operate, and the latter method is more suitable because of its true shape and strong embroidery. Scope of application: All embroidered and woven objects, such as rain hats and ship canopies, are applicable.

Lu embroidery is an ancient traditional embroidery process. Embroidery produced in Shandong is a representative embroidery in Shandong Province, which is called "Lu" for short, hence the name. It is one of the earliest recorded embroideries in historical documents and belongs to one of the "Eight Famous Embroideries" in China.

The embroidery thread used is mostly coarse twisted double-stranded silk thread, commonly known as "garment thread", so it is also called "garment thread embroidery". Once popular in Shandong, Hebei, Henan and other places, its embroidery not only has clothing supplies, but also ornamental paintings and calligraphy works of art.

The style of Lu embroidery is different from other embroideries, with dark cloth as the background, colorful twisted double-stranded garment thread as the embroidery thread, needle winding, seed beating, needle rolling, needle drawing, needle embroidery (braided needle), needle sewing and other stitches, and the popular mandarin ducks, butterflies and hibiscus flowers are selected, but lotus flowers are rare.
