What musical instruments were there in the pre-Qin period?
In the pre-Qin period, Xia and Shang musical instruments were developed. By the Zhou Dynasty, according to historical records, there were more than 70 kinds. According to the different materials of musical instruments in the Western Zhou Dynasty, it was divided into eight categories: gold, stone, silk, bamboo, mud, grass and wood, which were called eight tones.
