What is the difference between dental implants and dental implants?

"Dental inlay" is called dental restoration in medicine. It includes the restoration of tooth defect and dentition loss. In recent years, the main materials for making dentures are porcelain, plastic and metal. Because of the different retention methods of dentures in the oral cavity, the restoration of missing teeth can be divided into two types: removable denture and fixed denture.

"dental implant" refers to a dental restoration method in which a metal root is driven into the dental bone, and then a denture is installed at the root position after the metal root is closely combined with the alveolar bone of the patient who is undergoing dental restoration. This kind of dental implant has a stable effect and a long service life, which is loved by many patients with dental restoration.

There are two common methods of dental prostheses: fixed denture and removable denture. Fixed dentures need to remove more tooth tissues on both sides of the missing tooth area when they are used for the loss of 1-2 teeth, while removable dentures need to remove a little amount, but there is a base connected with the denture in the mouth, which makes patients feel uncomfortable and needs to be removed and cleaned every day. However, implant dentures generally do not need to grind away the tooth tissues of other healthy teeth. Even in case of failure, the bone tissue after the implant is removed has the ability to regenerate and can basically restore the original alveolar ridge shape.

The difference between dental implants and dental implants

First, traditional dental implants need to grind the teeth on both sides of the missing tooth position as the support for fixing the braces. People will feel uncomfortable when the braces are placed in the mouth, but when the teeth are planted, they will not affect other teeth next to the missing tooth position, let alone feel foreign body and uncomfortable.

Second, in the case of severe tooth loss, traditional dental implants are supported by the soft tissues of the gums, so they are easy to move. If they are used for a long time, the alveolar bone will gradually shrink. However, dental implants are relatively suitable for the situation of less tooth loss. For the situation of more tooth loss, if dental implants drive more metal roots into the dental bone, it is also easy to cause gum damage. However, there will be no tooth movement in dental implants.

Third, after using traditional dental prostheses, people's chewing ability will become worse, and other teeth will be damaged, which will lead to the overall weakening of chewing ability. Moreover, after dental implant, it is a foreign body after all, and it is easy to accumulate dirt, which is not easy to clean and affects the beauty of teeth. The dental implant has a very good fit and will not have these disadvantages of traditional dental implant.
