Yuan Heng's Ji Zhi Ma, commonly known as the classic of horses and oxen since the Qing Dynasty, is the most complete veterinary work in ancient China.

Medical Horse Collection contains agricultural books and major animal husbandry and veterinary works before the Ming Dynasty, including Qi Shu, Si Shi Bian Yao, Miracle Lun and Muse Anji Collection. This summative classic veterinary work laid the foundation of traditional veterinary medicine in China. After the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was reprinted many times and spread widely.

Yuan Heng's Treatise on Horses was originally named Treatise on Horses, which was originally written by Yu Jie and Yu Ren in Liu 'an Prefecture of Zhili in Ming Dynasty, and later added to Treatise on Cattle and Camels, which is called Yuan Heng's Treatise on Horses and Horses or Yuan Heng's Complete Works of Camels and Horses. Yuan Heng's "Managing Horses" is one of the immortal masterpieces of science and technology in ancient China, and its authors Yu and Yu Benheng are famous in history.
