The six types of classroom questions and their examples
Six types of classroom questioning and their examples are as follows:
1, open-ended questioning:
Open-ended questioning refers to the open-ended questions that a teacher poses to students. This kind of question does not require students to follow a specified answer to answer, but requires students through their own thinking and understanding, for a certain topic or problem, to give their own personal ideas or give examples to illustrate the point of view.

2. Closed questioning:
Closed questioning is a restricted question asked by a teacher to a student. Such questions can usually be answered with a single answer and usually relate to a specific point of knowledge. This type of questioning allows the teacher to check how well the student has mastered the point.

3. Inferential questioning:
Inferential questioning refers to a teacher who asks questions based on reasoning skills. Such questions provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their own ability to understand and analyze the problem.

4, induced questioning:
Induced questioning refers to a teacher prompting students, inspired thinking or guided exploration. This kind of question usually requires students to have an understanding of the problem and think about their own point of view. Teachers often use this approach to stimulate students' interest and imagination and to mobilize their thinking.
Examples:
(1) Teacher: "Can you imagine a world where all people can live fully and happily without having to work?"
(2) Teacher: "How is the color of a flower the same as and different from the color of a fig?"
5. Story-based questioning:
Story-based questioning refers to questions that are introduced through a story, situation, or diagram, through which the teacher presents a concept or idea to the students and allows them to answer the question based on their own understanding and analysis.
Examples:
(1) Teacher: "A person buys four pieces of clothing, spending 60% on the first and second, 80% on the third, and $300 on the fourth. Is this shopping habit commendable? Why?"
(2) Teacher: "What does the leaf distribution map look like? In elementary school, you may have noticed that during a forest fire, the picture of the leaves looks very similar to the shape of a fishtail."
6. Reverse questioning:
Reverse questioning is when a teacher asks students to think about a problem in the opposite way and can compare it with some known ideas. This type of questioning can be used to provoke students to think about opposing viewpoints.
Examples:
(1) Teacher: "Tell me why a car with a large displacement engine uses more fuel and energy than a small displacement engine?"
(2) Teacher: "Why do some people prefer to live in a busy city rather than in a quiet area away from the city?"
