What shape is the slingshot?
First, the basic shape of the bow frame has not changed much since ancient times. Many fancy reasons are just commercial speculation's gimmicks. Here we can simply classify the bow frame:
(1) According to materials: stainless steel slingshot, titanium alloy slingshot, zinc alloy slingshot, copper slingshot, wooden slingshot, etc. Among them, stainless steel is the most common.
(2) According to the manufacturing process: there are casting slingshots, cold bending or hot bending slingshots, CNC wire cutting slingshots, etc. Casting slingshots can be mass-produced by molds, and the cost is relatively low, so it is the most common way to make slingshots.
(3) According to the functional characteristics, it can be divided into traditional bow and catching bow. The difference between the two is mainly in the connection mode between the dry rubber band group and the slingshot. (See the development of modern slingshots for details.
(4) According to the overall shape of the bow frame, it can be divided into straight slingshot and rebound bow. Literally, a straight bow means that the overall shape of the bow frame is a straight line from top to bottom, while recurve bow has an arc on the axis.
