Japanese cartoonist Toyakura Yoshiki's comic book Travel Notes is a fantasy adventure story that has nothing to do with The Journey to the West, and it is based on the name of The Journey to the West, one of the four classical novels in China. The work attracts many female readers with its beautiful painting style and profound but funny plot. Comics have been serialized since 1997, and there have been three main lines (Travel Notes, Travel Notes Reloading, Travel Notes Reloading BLAST) and two external lines (Travel Notes Biography, Travel Notes).
