How to make rabbit lanterns easily

The method of making a rabbit lantern is as follows:

1. Prepare a roll of wire, which should be extra thick, otherwise the rabbit lantern will be easily deformed, and the length should be about 5 meters.

2. Prepare a vise or needle-nose pliers.

3. This rabbit lamp consists of five groups of iron rings, and the two iron rings in each group are of the same shape and size.

4. The two largest oval iron rings are cross-fixed to create the body of the rabbit.

5. An iron ring one size smaller than the body is used to make the rabbit head.

6. Install the rabbit’s two pairs of iconic long ears.

7. Round short tail.

8. Remove the wheels from the child’s old toy car, make a draggable rabbit lantern base, and install the candle on it.

9. Next is the paper-gluing step that tests your patience the most. Use rice paper to paste it carefully, don’t be in a hurry!

10. Use red paper to cut out the rabbit’s red eyes and ears for decoration.

11. Don’t waste the remaining rice paper. Cut it into a tassel shape and glue it to the rabbit lantern from bottom to top. A beautiful rabbit lantern is ready!

Every year around the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month, people hang up red lanterns symbolizing reunion to create a festive atmosphere.
