What are the keys of ancient Chinese music?

Gong (gōng), shāng (shāng), jiǎo (jiao), zhǐ (zhǐ) and yǔ (yǔ).

Gong shang jiao zheng yu refers to the traditional Chinese five-tone tuning system. As the name suggests, pentatonic modes are modes consisting of five tones (instead of seven). Pentatonic modulation is widely found in ancient Chinese and folk music, and on this basis it has formed the variations of Chinese folk modulation and a complete system of music theory, which is often referred to as "Chinese modulation" or "folk modulation".

Tuning

Each of the five tones can be the dominant of a tuning, giving rise to the five modes:
