What do you mean by strategy? What do you mean by objectives?
The earliest concept was military. Strategy is characterized by the discovery of an intellectual agenda. In the West, the word "strategy" comes from the Greek word "strategos", meaning military general, local administrator. It later evolved into a military term, referring to the strategy of a military general in commanding an army in battle. In 579 A.D., the Roman Emperor Maurice wrote a book called "stratajicon" in Latin, which is considered to be the first book on strategy in the West. In China, the word "strategy" has a long history, "war" means war, and "strategy" means "strategy". Sun Tzu's The Art of War, written by Sun Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period, is considered to be the earliest Chinese work on the overall planning of strategy. In modern times, the term "strategy" has been extended to the political and economic fields, and its meaning has evolved into a general reference to the overarching, global, win-or-lose strategy, programs and countermeasures.
1. The strategy of combat.
Tang Gao Shi (唐 高适)《自淇涉黄河途中作》诗之十一:"There was no strategy at that time, and this place is a border garrison." Qing Dynasty Ye Mingfeng 《Qiaoxi Miscellany》-Yang Zhongwu Gongxun Ziqing: "The strategy of Gong's life is recorded in the history of the country."
2. Plans and strategies to guide the overall situation of war. For tactics.
Hong Shen, "Preliminary Knowledge of Theater Directing," Part V: "It is well said in the book of war that strategy and tactics are two entirely different actions. Tactics is the guiding law for all kinds of actions in combat, and strategy is the linkage with all kinds of combat. Strategy is the root of combat, i.e., creative planning; tactics are the means required to implement strategy." Guo Moruo, "Hongboqu", Chapter 7, 1: "The enemy's initial plan was rumored to be a strategy of encirclement with great detours."
3. A metaphor for the strategy that guides the whole situation in a certain period of history.
Mao Zedong, "Speech at the Meeting of Party Secretaries of Provinces, Municipalities and Autonomous Regions", "Mobilize all positive forces in order to build socialism. This is a strategic policy." Deng Xiaoping, "Senior Cadres Should Take the Lead in Carrying Forward the Party's Good Traditions:" "We must realize that it is a strategic issue to carefully choose our successors."
II: Target:
1. the object of shooting, attacking or seeking. Liu Qing 《Bronze Wall, Iron Wall》Chapter 1: "It's bad when people run away in a disorderly manner, and they just happen to become the targets of strafing." Bino 《Our Strength is Invincible》Chapter 2: "Because the enemy is not allowed to find the target, the battalions and companies of the whole regiment do not make fire for cooking, and only eat dry food."
2. the state or purpose one wants to achieve. Mao Zedong, "On the Draft Constitution of the People's Republic of China:" "Our general goal is to strive for the construction of a great socialist country." Shen Congwen (沉从文)《《沉从文散文选>题记》:"From my own point of view, all my works can only be said to be a beginning, far from reaching my goal." 王西彦 《古屋》第二部四:"Confidence is the rudder of life, which enables you to move smoothly toward your goal."
Three: the essence and relationship between the two:
"Goal" is what you want, and "strategy" is how you get it.
