World Racing Classification

Formula Car Racing:

A type of car track competition. Racing cars must be built in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the vehicle technical regulations issued by the International Automobile Federation, including body structure, length and width, minimum weight, engine working volume, number of cylinders, fuel tank capacity, electronic equipment, distance and size of tires, etc.

The manufacturing procedures for each level of formula racing are different. Projects belonging to formula car competitions include: F-1, F-3000, F-3, Asian Formula, Formula Unlimited, Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Formula Kart, etc.

Formula 1 (F1/Formula 1)

World Formula One Championship. One of the car racing events. It is the highest level of formula racing. The world's first velodrome racing event took place in Melun, France, in 1900. The modern world Formula One Championship began in 1950 at the Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom. It now holds 16 races per year and is arranged by the International Automobile Federation. The existing 19 participating teams are all members of the "Formula One Constructors Association (FOCA)". Drivers must hold a "Super Driving License" issued by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. There are no more than 100 drivers in the world holding this license every year.

The competition has driver awards and team awards. The total distance of each race is 305 kilometers, and the time taken is no more than 2 hours. The top six in each race are selected, and the points awarded to the drivers are 10, 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1 in order. At the end of each season, the drivers' best 13 results out of the 16 races throughout the year are added up to get the total points. The one with the highest score is the world champion that year. The Constructors' World Championship is scored in the same way as the Drivers.

The competition uses a single-seat pure track formula car with four exposed wheels, which is composed of a chassis, engine, transmission system, tires and aerodynamic devices. The minimum weight is 505 kilograms. The chassis is based on the structural science of the space shuttle and is made of carbon fiber. The engine changes according to the competition rules of different periods. Since 1995, it is stipulated to use a naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a cylinder volume of 3.0 liters, a maximum of 12 cylinders, and an output of 650 horsepower. The transmission has six to seven gears and adopts a semi-automatic transmission system.

The tires used are made of special synthetic rubber and are available in dry and wet conditions to facilitate use in different climates. The body of the racing car is streamlined, with spoilers and fenders at the front and rear. It uses the principle of aerodynamics to generate downforce during movement, increases the adhesion of the tires, and allows the racing car to move closely to the ground. .

Formula 3 (F3/Formula 3)

One of the formula car racing events. The racing car used is a single-seat pure track formula racing car with four exposed wheels. It is similar in appearance to a Formula One racing car, but smaller in size. The minimum weight is 455 kg. It is equipped with 4 cylinders and a naturally aspirated car with a total working volume of 2 liters. Type gasoline engine with an output of approximately 170 horsepower.

Formula 3000 (F3000/Formula 3000)

3.0-liter formula car race. One of the formula car racing events. There are competitions such as the International Grand Prix. The racing car used is a single-seat pure track formula racing car with four exposed wheels. It is equipped with an 8-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a total working volume of 3 liters and an output of approximately 475 horsepower.

Formula ASIA (Formula ASIA)

One of the formula car racing events, which is limited to Asia. The racing car used is a single-seat pure track formula racing car with four exposed wheels. The body specifications are similar to those of Formula 3. It is equipped with a "Ford" 4-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a total working volume of 2 liters and an output power of about 160 horsepower.

Drag Racing

One of the automotive racing events. The competition is divided into 12 to 14 levels according to different models and engine working capacities. It is held on two parallel asphalt tracks with a length of 1500 meters and a width of 15 meters each. The actual competition distance is 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile. During the competition, every 2 cars form a group, and an elimination system is implemented. The competition is divided into multiple rounds until the champion is determined. The method of starting from a fixed point is adopted, the race is accelerated, and the driving time from the starting line to the finish line is measured by electronic instruments to evaluate the results.

Use specially designed and manufactured piston or jet racing cars, which use gasoline, methanol or kerosene as fuel and weigh 500-1000 kilograms. Among them, the "Advanced Alcohol Enthusiast (TAFC)" class has an engine capacity of 8930CC, an output power of 2,500 horsepower, and a speed of 382 km/h; the "Tripod Advanced Fuel Vehicle (TFD)" class has an engine volume of 8127CC, an output power of 5,000 horsepower, The speed can reach 460 kilometers per hour; the "jet enthusiast" grade engine output reaches 10,000 horsepower.

Endurance race (Grand Touring Car)

Also known as "GT race". A type of car racing. Race cars for long term durability. Competition vehicles are divided into two categories: station wagons and sports prototypes, and are divided into several levels according to the working capacity of the engine. Each car can have 2-3 drivers in the competition, who take turns driving.

The annual International Automobile Endurance Series is divided into 11 stations, held around the world. The race usually lasts for 8-12 hours, and results are judged based on the number of completed laps. The more famous competitions include: Le Mans 24-hour endurance race in France and Suzuka 8-hour endurance race in Japan. Back to top

Indy Car

A type of car racing. There are world championships. The car race originated in the United States and was originally a championship hosted by the American Automobile Association. In 1978, 18 Indy racing teams jointly established the "Indy Championship Racing Team Co., Ltd.", established an event management organization to hold a series of car races, and formulated unique competition rules. The first race was held in 1979, becoming a car race outside the jurisdiction of the FIA.

The overall structure of the vehicle used in the competition is similar to Formula One's four-wheel exposed single-seat pure track racing car, but it uses an 8-cylinder, working volume of 2.6-3.4 liters and a methanol-fueled turbocharger. Engine, output power 700~850 horsepower. The competition distance ranges from 320 kilometers to 800 kilometers depending on the competition venue.

Karting

A type of car racing event. There are six categories: Formula Kart, International Class A, B, C, E and Popular Class, with 12 levels. It uses a light steel tube structure, is easy to operate, has no body shell, and is a 4-wheel single-seat mini racing car equipped with a 100CC, 125CC or 250CC gasoline engine. It has a low center of gravity and can drive on a tortuous ring route with a strong sense of racing speed.

Karting is the most rudimentary form of world formula racing, which began in 1940. Since many famous Formula 1 drivers started in karts, karting is considered the cradle of the "F-1".

Land-Speed ??Record-LSR (Land-Speed ??Record-LSR)

A car event in which a bicycle sets off to set the highest speed record at a certain venue or road section. According to the working capacity of the car engine, there are 10 levels from A to J***.

The current top speed record for a tire-driven car was set by the Summer Brothers in November 1965, reaching a speed of 660 kilometers per hour; the highest speed record for a car powered by a jet engine The speed record was set in 1983 by Englishman Richard Noble driving his self-designed Thrust II car on the Salt Lake in northwest Nevada, USA, reaching a speed of 1019.89 kilometers per hour.
