What are the classifications of skiing?
Skiing can be roughly divided into three categories: alpine skiing, Nordic skiing and freestyle skiing.
Alpine style: skiing refers to skiing downhill along a snowy slope. Its name comes from downhill skiing in the Alps, which contains various skills and movements. Among them, there are three basic movements: straight down, crossing and turning. Nordic skiing includes cross-country skiing and platform skiing. The name comes from the fact that the sport originated in the Nordic countries. Cross-country skiing is the most popular skiing method.
Freestyle skiing is actually a stunt. Performers slide down steep and rugged snow slopes, while performing other thrilling stunts such as jumping, kicking and even somersaults.
