Wuliangye is produced in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, China's National Geographical Indication product. The predecessor of Jiannanchun wine is Jiannan Shaochun, which is the imperial wine of Tang Dynasty recorded in the official history. Jennanchun is recorded in the official history of the Tang Dynasty. Jennanchun was honored as the "National Wine of the Tang Dynasty" and was recorded in the "Supplementary History of the Tang Dynasty" and "The Chronicle of Emperor Dezong", becoming the only contemporary Chinese famous wine recorded in the official history of the Tang Dynasty.
