Traditional moral truth

Tao Te Ching was written by Laozi in the Spring and Autumn Period, also known as the moral truth, and Laozi has 5,000 words. It is an important source of Taoist philosophy and a classic of China traditional culture, which has inspired countless people for thousands of years; After reading this book in my spare time, I feel something in my heart and resort to words in fear. This is my own harvest and my own happiness.

Empty one's heart, fill one's stomach, weaken one's wisdom and strengthen one's bones from the third chapter of Tao Te Ching:

No, Shang Xian, let the people do not dispute. Cheap and rare goods make people afraid to steal. If you can't see what you want, you won't be chaotic.

It is ruled by saints, hollowing out their hearts, strengthening their bellies, weakening their aspirations and strengthening their bones; Often make the people ignorant and have no desire, and make the wise dare not do it. If you do nothing, you will die.

Don't admire talent and ability, so the world won't compete for fame and fortune. Don't value rare treasures, so there will be no thieves in the world. Don't induce evil desires, so that the world will not be chaotic. Therefore, the way to govern the country by Tao is to make the people feel quiet, have a full stomach, have a spirit inside and be strong. It often frees people from prejudice and greed, and makes those who are scheming afraid to do whatever they want. Take the road of inaction, that is, there is no place where governance is not good.

This general plan of governing the country seems to be somewhat negative, especially: "Without Shang Xian, the people do not dispute." It is easy to be misunderstood.

Laozi lived in the Spring and Autumn Period, which was a period of great social unrest. The governors of all countries are vying for power and profit, and they are all expanding their strength and recruiting talents. The sages they revere are not necessarily real sages, and there is no clear standard for what "sages" mean. Advocating the wind of sages can't solve the world disputes, people's livelihood is difficult, and the army was born in the suburbs. In view of this, Lao Tzu prescribed a prescription, "Without Shang Xian, the people will not dispute."

The stars have changed, and so have the years. If you have to use three-inch lotus embroidered shoes to set a set of modern feet, where can you wear them? The so-called unilateral tragedy is not a unilateral fault, but because people are different due to illness.

Laozi advocates Taoism and nature, which is the attribute of all things in the world. Everything goes with the flow, people need to conform to nature, not foolishly. Laozi strongly opposes arbitrary interference and changes the laws of nature.

In ancient times, the king of Chu had a thin waist and starved to death in his palace; Managers' decisions often guide their subordinates' thinking and behavior. If a thing is over-publicized and over-emphasized, the result will often make it lose its original meaning.

On a certain day, an activity was held somewhere, and a group of volunteers came to a nursing home. In one day, the old people were washed their feet again and again, and all the good things went bad. Probably not the original intention of the initiator, but why is there such a result? Shouldn't we reflect on it?

"Be humble and solid, mentally retarded and strong." Literally, it is easy to understand. As a personal practice, it is really a great thing to make your heart clear, take a chance, be open-minded and keep quiet. But after food and clothing, we can try to reduce bad desires, not be complacent, not give up, and not be hindered by fog. Don't forget your innovative spirit. You have a clear ambition in indifference and you will achieve your goal in peace.

Sharing a short story of Zen here is also to clear my mind and leave an empty cup for tomorrow.

Nanyin is a Zen master in Japan. One day, a local celebrity came to ask him about Zen. The celebrity chattered endlessly, but Yin Nan was silent and only treated each other with tea. He poured tea into the guest's cup. When the cup was full, he didn't stop, but continued to pour it in. Watching the tea overflow from the cup, the celebrity said anxiously, "It's full, don't pour it again!" " "Yin Nan said," you are like this cup, which is full of your own opinions and ideas. How can I tell you Zen if you don't empty the glass first?
