What are the traditional customs in Inner Mongolia?
Hello poster:
Mongolian etiquette and customs
Love animals: If you encounter a herd of livestock on the grassland, cars and pedestrians should take a detour and do not follow the herd. otherwise it will be considered disrespectful to the livestock owner. Being a guest: Those who take a car to a herdsman's house as a guest should check whether the horse is tied to the Lele car near the yurt, and do not drive in hastily, lest the horse is frightened, breaks its reins and runs away. To enter the yurt, walk to the left of the stove and sit on the west and north sides of the yurt. The east side is the owner's living room, so try not to sit. When sitting, do not block the Buddha statue hanging on the Hana in the north. After entering the bag, you can sit on the floor without taking off your shoes. Don't sit on the threshold.
Serving tea When visiting a herdsman’s house, the host will first serve the guest a bowl of milk tea. Guests should stand up slightly and use both hands or right hand to receive the gift. Never use the left hand to receive the gift, otherwise it will be considered as not being etiquette. When the host is pouring tea, if the guest does not want tea, please gently touch the spoon or spout with the edge of the bowl, and the host will immediately understand the guest's intention.
Toasting: Pouring wine to toast guests is a traditional way of hospitality for the Mongolian people. It expresses the respect and love of the guests from the grassland herders. Usually the host pours the wine into a silver bowl, a gold cup or a horn cup, puts it on a long hada, and sings a touching Mongolian traditional toast song. It will be considered as looking down on the owner. Guests should immediately catch the wine, dip their ring fingers in the wine and tap it in the direction of heaven, earth and the stove to show their respect to the gods of heaven, earth and fire. If you don't know how to drink, you don't have to force yourself, but you can touch your lips as a gesture to express your acceptance of the host's pure friendship.
Presenting Hada: Hada is an indispensable item in Mongolian daily rituals. Offering hada is a etiquette used by Mongolian herdsmen to greet guests and in daily interactions. When offering a hada, the host holds the hada with open hands, chants auspicious wishes or praises, exaggerates the atmosphere of respect, and at the same time points the folded opening of the hada toward the guests receiving the hada. Guests should stand up and face the hada presenter, and concentrate on listening to the toast and accepting the toast. When receiving the hada, the guest should bow slightly forward and let the hada presenter hang the hada around the guest's neck. Guests should put their hands together in front of their chests to express their gratitude to the person who presented the hada.
Respect the Elders and Salesians: When you are a guest at a herdsman’s home, when you see an elderly person and greet them, you must address them with “you”. Do not pass in front of the elderly, do not sit on top of them, and do not sit side by side with the elderly without permission. Do not scold or hit children. Don't talk about your child's physical defects in front of family members.
Others: When visiting a herdsman’s home, you should bring appropriate gifts, such as wine, sugar, snacks, etc. You can only scold a sheepdog that barks at you, but do not hit it. To relieve yourself, you must go far to the south of the yurt, and do not go to the east, west (where there are sheep pens), or the north side of the yurt (the smell will be blown into the yurt by the wind). Don't go to the north or west side of Bao in winter, because the snow there is turned into water for food. When leaving the host's house, you must say goodbye and thank you.
Hope to adopt.
