What are the classic repertoires of Sichuan Opera?
Liu Yin's story was named Butterfly Lovers. Zhu Yingtai Marries Liang Shanbo in the Yuan Dynasty and Legend of Classmates in the Ming Dynasty both interpreted this story. Liu Yin, a Beijing opera, was adapted from Liu Yin, a Sichuan opera, by Mr Ma in 1953. The play was written by Mr. Wang Yaoqing and premiered by Du Jinfang and Ye Shenglan in China Peking Opera Theatre.

Flower Fan is a traditional classic of Sichuan Opera. It tells the story of a scholar who went to Beijing to take the exam, lived in exile and made a living by selling calligraphy and painting.

The Jade Hairpin is a legend (play) created by Gao Lian, a writer of Ming Dynasty, and it was written in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. The play tells the story of Taoist Chen Miaochang and scholar Pan Bizheng who broke through the shackles of feudal ethics and Taoist rules and regulations and fell in love and killed each other.
