How to understand the basic spirit of China's philosophy?

To understand China's philosophy, we should compare it with other philosophies in the world.

Liang Shuming divided human philosophy into three schools.

One. Western philosophy (from ancient Greece) II. Indian philosophy iii. Chinese philosophy

In the west, it is positive from the basic point of view that people who emphasize freedom and equality can conquer nature.

Because of geographical reasons, Indians have short life expectancy, class oppression and extremely bad life. There are many philosophies, such as Brahma and Buddha. Although they have their positive side, they are basically important people who see the world. Seeing eternity, acknowledging the suffering of this world, and passively accepting it are inaction. The passive "quietness" is somewhat similar to China's Lao Tzu.

What do people in China pay attention to? There are many philosophers in China, but Confucianism, which can influence the whole of China, is famous. From the Analects of Confucius, we can see that the word "being human" is written everywhere, and the simplification of the relationship between people can be understood as "fitness". Of course, Confucius did not emphasize this point blindly. During thousands of years of feudal rule, Confucian culture was actually alienated, and "fitness" was regarded as a negative "movement" by the rulers.

The "positive" and "negative" mentioned here are not negative and positive in the usual sense, but actively emphasize man-made.

Negative is to pay attention to the objective cognition of human limitations, and then it is a bit extreme. It is actually wrong to overemphasize the doctrine of the mean.

Both eastern and western cultures have their drawbacks, and they don't understand the relationship among people, society and nature.
