The Basic Artistic Features of Yue Opera

Characteristics of Yue Opera

Yue Opera is good at lyric, mainly singing, with beautiful voice, real and moving performance and full of Jiangnan spirit. Most of them are dramas with the theme of "gifted scholars and beautiful women", and there are many artistic schools.

The aria of the school of Yue Opera consists of two parts: tune and singing. In the organization of melody, each school has its own unique techniques, and forms its own basic style through the changes of melody, rhythm and rigid eyes. In particular, the beginning tone, falling tone, drawling between sentences, ending of sentences, and the repeatedly changing melody and idiomatic sounds are the core and key to embody the artistic characteristics of various schools of singing. In singing methods, most of them focus on lyrics, aria, singing feelings and other aspects to show their unique personality, and form different charm beauty through the changes of voice, timbre and embellishment. Some nuances, including many special singing forms that are difficult to contain and record in detail, can better reflect the different colors of various schools.

Since 1938, most troupes and troupes are called "Yue Opera". However, the headlines in various drama newspapers are still inconsistent, and journalists and contributors often use their own names. 1939 Fan Dimin, a reporter of Ta Kung Pao, is also the director of "Yin Yue Stage" in Yao Shuijuan. Inspired by Li Bai's Ci of Yue Nv, he thinks that Shaoxing is the revival base of Yue Wang Gou Jian's A Birthday Outline, Gathering and Defeating Wu, and Sheng County, the birthplace of Yue Opera, is one of Shao's families, and is also influenced by famous actresses of Yue Opera. "I just want to sing louder, higher and farther. Since then, the advertisements of "Women's Literary Drama" in various newspapers have been renamed as "Yue Opera", especially after the founding of New China.

In the early stage of Yue Opera, it was named Yue Opera and Shaoxing Wenwan, so it was called Yue Opera. In fact, it was borrowed from Yue Opera, because there was no such name at that time, but it was not actually Yue Opera. But formally speaking, the title translation of "Yue Opera" should be "Yue Opera" (also translated as "Yue Opera"), which has been widely used in professional books and official documents of Yue Opera, and also accepted and used by newspapers and media, and the mistranslated "Yue Opera" that day has also become history.

Set up a stage in the theater

Spare no effort to recommend local operas.

When it comes to Yue Opera, Sister Lin falls from the sky and a plum in front of the study are all familiar and moving melodies, while Dream of Red Mansions and butterfly lovers, which were first born in 1950s and 1960s, are timeless classics. From Poetic Yue Opera, Lu You and Tang Wan to Star Edition of Yue Opera, Butterfly Lovers, from Youth Edition of Home to Dream of Red Mansions and Song of the Tang Dynasty, the performance of five Yue Opera plays for nearly a month once again shows the determination of the National Centre for the Performing Arts to spare no effort to recommend local operas and promote traditional arts, which will make new and old opera fans indulge in it.

Meng Xin, deputy director of the Performance Department of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, said that since its establishment six years ago, the Centre has arranged opera performances with different themes every year. In recent two years, the National Centre for the Performing Arts not only embodies the charm of Peking Opera and Daya Kunqu Opera, but also opens up a space for local operas to show their elegant demeanor. It is hoped that the development and inheritance of local operas can be demonstrated from many angles and aspects, so as to better spread and inherit excellent opera art. It is reported that in 20 13, the National Centre for the Performing Arts successfully held Huangmei Opera Art Week, which was very successful at the box office and word of mouth.

Classical pressure field

Youth with traditional charm.

"Sister Lin" has come, but as "Yue Opera Art Week", it is natural to have a sister Lin. Besides classic performances such as Dream of Red Mansions, butterfly lovers, Lu You and Tang Wan, plays such as Home and Ode to the Tang Dynasty will also be refreshing.

A Dream of Red Mansions by Hangzhou Yue Theatre combined with Cao Xueqin's original classic literature, carefully adjusted the original version of the Yue Opera Dream of Red Mansions. Whether it is music singing, beautiful dance design or actors' costumes, it is full of artistic charm of China traditional culture. Zhan Min, the director of the play, said that the "Sailing Moon Edition" of A Dream of Red Mansions will let the audience listen to the original classic vocals of the "Xu Wang Edition", and visually, both the stage art design and costume modeling will adhere to China's principles of "combination of reality and reality" and "aestheticism and agility" to create a colorful visual feast. Yue Opera Star Edition and Butterfly Lovers are jointly created by Yue Opera Troupes in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Fujian, and at the same time, they bring together outstanding actors on the stage of Yue Opera such as Wu Fenghua, Wang Xingjuan, Wu Suying and Chen Fei. The seven mainstream schools of Yue Opera play the same role together, allowing the audience to appreciate the characteristics and charm of different schools of Yue Opera in two hours.

In addition to the classic old operas with a deep audience base, the newly edited historical Yue Opera "Da Tang Pian Ge" brought by Wenzhou Yue Opera Troupe will face the Beijing audience for the first time. The work is adapted from the TV series "Da Gong Ming Ci" and directed by Yang Xiaoqing, director of Yue Opera. According to reports, the play boldly absorbed the means of expression of Shakespeare's plays and national operas, and the performance form of "chorus and dance team" will appear on the stage of Yue Opera for the first time. In addition, to commemorate the 1 10 anniversary of Ba Jin's birthday, Shanghai Yue Theatre also brought a "youth version" of Yue Opera "Home", which showed the profound humanistic strength and aesthetic pursuit in Ba Jin's original works.

Singing in the corner

Famous rookie debut

As a corner art, this "Yue Opera Art Week" naturally needs the participation of famous artists. Lu You and Tang Wan, the peak work of Zhejiang Xiaobaihuayue Yue Opera Troupe, will return to Beijing after six years' absence and make a wonderful appearance on February 22nd and 23rd. Mao, the leading actor, will tell this heartbreaking love story again with her unique literati temperament and poet feelings. She said that the version of this performance was completed according to the old version of Lu You and Tang Wan, and the clue of "Li Panpan" was deleted. The current version is more refined and poetic, and the main line of contradictions in the story is clearer and more concentrated, thus the fate of typical intellectuals in ancient China is analyzed more deeply with the help of contradictions and conflicts.

The "Star Edition" of Yue Opera "Butterfly Lovers" can be said to be another highlight of this "Yue Opera Art Week". , Chen,,,,,,,, Zhang Xuefen, Xu Ming, and other Shaoxing opera stars, as well as Fan, Yin, Fu, Wang, Yuan, Lu, Jin and Xu, can be called the "loudest part" of butterfly lovers's Shaoxing opera. As the only work of the Republic of China in this "Yue Opera Week", the Yue Opera "Home" adapted from Ba Jin's novel of the same name is full of youth. The play is co-starred by many outstanding young actors from Shanghai and Guangdong Theatre: Yin sent Xiao Sheng Qi Chunlei as Jue Xin, Yuan Pai spent Dan Yu Jinglan as Mei Fen, Lu sent Hua Dan Deng Huawei as Rui Jue, Lu sent Xiao Sheng Xu Biaoxin, and Fan sent Xiao Sheng Qiu Long as Jue Hui. Just as Mr. Ba Jin repeatedly emphasized that "youth is beautiful" in the preface of Riptide, "Youth Edition" and "Home" also closely followed the theme of "youth", showing the power of the original work with beautiful young actors and euphemistic and elegant vocals.
