Custom civilization

First, religion. When visiting the temple, dress neatly and generously. Men's shirts should have sleeves, trousers should be worn, and women's trousers skirts should be knee-high. No topless breasts, no vest suspenders or ripped jeans. Take off your shoes when you enter the Buddhist temple. Don't touch or climb the Buddha statue to take pictures. Women should not be too close to monks, and should not have physical contact with monks, such as handing things, wrapping them in cloth or entrusting men to send them. If you take pictures of monks, you should ask for permission in advance and thank them afterwards.

Second, behavior. Thailand attaches great importance to etiquette, greeting and crossing hands. Don't touch other people's heads, and don't point your feet at people or things when sitting, lying or shopping. Don't talk loudly or spit in public places.

Airport civilization

I. Flight delays

Passengers are understandably anxious because of the flight delay. However, rights protection should be polite and moderate, and rights protection should not be excessive by means of "strike" or "taking the opportunity". Usually, airlines and airports have corresponding accommodation and compensation measures for flight delays. Passengers should know the reasons for the delay on the spot according to the ticket purchase contract and decide whether to change the ticket as soon as possible; Require airlines to issue a "delay certificate" and save evidence of compensation afterwards; Disputes involving air transport contracts may be appealed to the Civil Aviation Department.

Low-cost airlines have strict regulations on flight delays. For example, air tickets can only be refunded but not changed, or they can only be changed to other flights of the company. If they change to another flight, the difference will not be refunded. Passengers should have full psychological expectations. Civilized society, rational rights protection. Unreasonable behavior demands such as taking out equipment, blocking the plane door, not boarding the plane, and demanding cash compensation on the spot are not within the scope of insurance assistance, and the embassy will not support them.

Second, the fine for alcohol and tobacco is too high.

According to Thai law, every passenger can buy 1 cigarette (200 cigarettes or 250g tobacco) and 1 bottle of wine for their own use when entering Thailand. The excess shall be taxed by the airport customs according to law. Passengers can choose to pay taxes or give up excessive alcohol and tobacco.

If the parties remove their own cigarettes and alcohol, but also carry their peers' cigarettes and alcohol, or put the cigarettes and alcohol purchased by everyone together, it is also considered excessive, and different amounts of fines will be imposed according to the cigarette brand. If the customs refuses to pay the fine, it will initiate judicial proceedings and hand over the person concerned to the airport police for investigation and trial by the court. The sentence is usually fixed-term imprisonment (no more than 2 years) and a fine. During this period, the parties shall not be released on bail.

If you have excess tobacco and alcohol, please declare it to the customs before you leave the airport isolation area, hand over the excess to the customs for safekeeping, pay a small storage fee and ask for a bill, and get the tobacco and alcohol back with the bill when you leave the country. In the whole airport area, especially when you have left the airport inspection area but not far from the airport, please don't keep duty-free tobacco and alcohol for anyone, or give it to others to avoid heavy punishment or even litigation.

If you buy more than a reasonable number of brand-name bags and jewels for your own use, you should declare them to the customs, otherwise you will be subject to heavy taxes and fines.

If tourists think that the punishment is unfair, they can submit written materials to the airport information desk, and the staff will hand them over to the relevant airport departments for handling. Please be sure to protect your rights calmly according to law, and don't make trouble without reason.

Travel safety with the group

Before joining the tour group, carefully read the itinerary, quotation and contract samples provided by the tour group agency and sign a formal contract. The travel agency's commitment shall be subject to written execution. After the contract is signed, both parties shall strictly perform the contract. Before going abroad, if you are told that the itinerary includes shopping and self-funded items and an additional agreement is signed, you should be mentally prepared, and don't take chances and exploit loopholes. Don't panic when you leave the group in Thailand. Call the tourist police. The team leader of China should actively coordinate and take over the club to resolve disputes.
