Character evaluation of Lee Jo-Yuan

Lee Zu Yuan is one of the most famous architects in Taiwan. Many of his works have received mixed reviews in terms of their architectural structure, aesthetics, and practicality. In Taipei City, Taiwan, for example, the completion of the Circle, due to the lack of architectural planning and functional problems, resulting in a massive loss of traffic in this famous shopping district, was forced to close down for renovation; its design concepts have also been criticized for involving the destruction of history, culture, and community memory.

Li Zuyuan is a world-renowned Taiwanese architect who is obsessed with figurative design and the magnification of micro-objects, and has devoted his life to researching new architecture with traditional Chinese characteristics. He has always insisted on integrating traditional Chinese cultural elements into modern architectural design, from the big roof of Dingshan Shangri-La, Shenyang Fangyuan Building to the world's tallest building, Taipei 101, all of which are the embodiment of his "concrete" and "figurative" ideas. Few people are as good as Mr. Li Zuyuan at the same time. Few people have such a profound understanding of both traditional Chinese culture and Western culture as Mr. Li Zuyuan; few people embody the spirit of traditional Chinese culture in contemporary architecture as he does, exploring a higher level of compatibility between Eastern and Western cultures; and few people pursue the concept of contemporary architecture as Mr. Li Zuyuan does, exploring the philosophy of contemporary architecture.
