Four ways of mixed teaching

Four ways of mixed teaching:

The first level: the mixture of online and offline.

Online and offline mixing, that is, the mixed mode of "E(e-Learning)+C(Classroom)", the concept of mixed learning first refers to online and offline mixing. When people realized that a single e-Learning model could not achieve satisfactory results, they began to consider combining e-learning with traditional classroom learning, and achieved good results through practice. But online and offline mixing is still mixed learning in a narrow sense. Broadly speaking, blended learning includes more contents and levels.

The second level: mixing based on learning objectives.

Blended learning based on learning goals no longer considers online and offline factors, but takes "achieving learning goals" as the ultimate goal in the design of "blended" strategies, and the content and methods of blended learning are more extensive. Target-based blended learning can be traditional learning, such as classroom training combined with reading and discussion, or online learning, such as online learning combined with online virtual classroom learning and BBS discussion. Therefore, this level of blended learning is also called "integrated learning".

The third level: the mixture of "learning" and "learning"

The mixing of "learning" and "learning" is the real connotation of mixed learning. Applying the content of learning to practice through "learning" is the purpose of higher-level learning. Usually we equate "learning" with learning, but the actual situation completely omits "learning". Most face-to-face or online learning is just "learning", not real learning. In fact, designing the mixture of "learning" and "learning" is the most effective mixed learning. And this kind of blended learning is actually the simplest in design. The following is a case I participated in to share with you. A foreign company is holding intensive rotation training for new managers around the world. The training time is one month. What methods does the training manager consider to make the annual manager training more effective? Finally, we designed a simple and effective mixed learning mode, that is, an online discussion area and a report uploading area were set up for each training. After the centralized face-to-face teaching, managers can go to the discussion forum to exchange the problems encountered in the next year's practice, and at the same time, they must submit an application experience at the end of each quarter. Training managers have made great efforts in the design of report template and incentive measures, and achieved good results. This example is to change the original one-month study into one-month study plus one-year study.

The fourth level: the mixture of study and work.

The mixed learning of work-study combination is also called "embedded" learning or "action learning", which is not so much a learning method as a learning realm. In a sense, work itself is learning. The effect of managers promoting this level is often reflected in some measures to promote employees' work summary, experience sharing and business innovation. Judging from the organizational structure of most enterprises, it is difficult for education and training departments to promote "blended learning" at this level, so I won't elaborate too much. Personally, I think that at the third level, there is still a lot of room for educators and trainers to achieve better results in the mixture of "learning" and "learning".
