I. Enrollment scope and conditions

1. Enrollment scope: Domestic junior high school graduates, junior high school students, freshmen and sophomores, and international students.

2. Requirements for application: Students who belong to the scope of enrollment can consult the enrollment office of Maple Leaf High School campuses, Maple Leaf offices across the country, and Maple Leaf schools' websites; when filling out the application information, they need to provide two one-inch color photos, the original or photocopies of their household registers, audits, information fees, and test fees of 300 RMB, and 100 US dollars for international students.

2. Admission Criteria and Examination Requirements

1. Admission Criteria:

1) Junior high school students applying for admission to Maple Leaf High School prior to the midterm exams will be required to participate in the Maple Leaf School's self-organized entrance exams, and will be admitted if they pass the exams; those with scores lower than 60% will not be admitted.

② Participate in the midterm examination, the results reached 80% of the total score of the paper, and English single-subject results reached 85% of the students, exempted from the entrance examination to be admitted to participate in the Maple Leaf summer English training, according to the results of the first year of high school in a different combination of different courses class; the results of the midterm examination did not reach the exemption standard to participate in the Maple Leaf entrance examination.

2. Examination subjects:

The examination subjects are Maple Leaf English, Canadian math, and Chinese social studies.

Maple Leaf English mainly assesses the foundation of English, vocabulary and application of the English language, full of 100 points;

Canadian math mainly assesses the foundation of the second and third year of mathematics and the ability to use English, full of 50 points;

Chinese social studies (Chinese students only) mainly assess the basics of social and human sciences (history, geography, politics), and some of the questions are aimed at the character, psychology and habits of students. The Chinese Social Studies (for Chinese students only) assesses the basic knowledge of social humanities (history, geography, politics), and some questions are aimed at the character, psychology, habits and attitudes of students.

3. Examination time:

Every year, in January, February, March, June, July and August, when the national candidates concentrate on registration, an entrance examination is held every Saturday for students to enter the school in the spring or fall; the specific examination time will be announced on the website of Maple Leaf or consult with the campus by phone. 3. Grading Criteria and Enrollment Time

1. Grading Criteria: Students will be placed in a class that suits their course combination based on their entrance exam scores. Students with 80% or higher in all subjects will be admitted directly to the first year full Canadian program; students with 75%-79% in all subjects will be admitted to the 2 (Canadian + 2 (English Language)) first year transition program; students with 70%-74% in all subjects will be admitted to the first year 1 (Canadian) + 3 (English Language) program; Students with single subject grades in the 61%-69% range for special enrollment and individual probationary enrollment for students with academic strengths.

2. Enrollment: Each high school campus accepts inquiries, registrations and exams all year round. Students can choose the enrollment time according to their needs.

Fresh graduates of junior high school: they can apply for admission before or after the midterm, and the school year starts on August 2 every year.

Junior high school graduates: Before or during the winter break of junior high school, students can take the high school preparatory exam in English at Maple Leaf Campus; students who pass the exam will be admitted to the senior high school preparatory class at the beginning of spring every year to study Canadian preparatory courses and intensive English language courses. Under normal circumstances, students enter the first year of high school in August.

Domestic freshman students: they can take the entrance exam at any time, and will be admitted to different combinations of classes in the freshman year.

3. International Students:

(1) Students attending junior or senior high school in an English-speaking country will be admitted at any time to the appropriate grade level by providing original transcripts from their original school and letters of recommendation, which will be verified by the Canadian principal or vice-principal.

(2) Students from non-English speaking countries who are enrolled in an English-medium international school will be admitted to the appropriate grade at any time upon confirmation by the Canadian principal or vice-principal of the original English transcripts and letters of recommendation from the school.

(3) Students from non-English speaking countries (regions), who provide original school transcripts and notarized certificates in English and letters of recommendation, and who pass the audit, will take the school's placement tests (Maple Leaf English and Canadian Math) and be admitted to the appropriate combination of classes based on their scores.

Four, special enrollment and interview admissions

1, special enrollment outstanding students: mainly special enrollment junior high school students and senior high school students.

The top 15% of students from traditional schools in large and medium-sized cities in China, with real transcripts from their schools and proof of their performance in school, can be admitted to the summer English training program without examination and priority through interviews.

The students who excel in the entrance test will be recommended by the campus recruiting office and interviewed by the principal of the Canadian school, and will be enrolled in the first year of the full Canadian program.

2. Arts students (music, dance, drama, design, etc.): Arts students with enrollment scores of 61%-69%, who provide relevant certificates, art work and professional references, will be evaluated by a team of professional teachers from China and Canada, and then formally enrolled in the appropriate combination of classes, and the school will develop a schedule of courses with different orientations.

3. Professional Orientation Students: Candidates with enrollment scores of 61%-69% and a clear professional direction (tourism, service, hotel management, etc.) are required to arrange an interview; qualified candidates will be formally assigned to appropriate course combination classes after signing the Orientation Training Agreement, and the school will set up course schedules with different directions.

4, special enrollment trial students: subject performance is relatively weak, but can prove that the school performance, and has a certain development potential of students, approved by the campus principal, signed a trial agreement, given three months trial opportunity.
