The origin of taking Taiping bridge

Walking peacefully, also known as "walking peacefully on the 16th day of the first month", is a unique traditional folk custom of Quanjiao.

Walking Taiping is also the earliest and longest-lasting fitness walking activity in the history of China. Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, it has continued and flourished. "Hanshu" contains a proverb that "the sky is cool and peaceful", which is the beginning of the whole pepper peace. The custom of walking on the Taiping Bridge in the first month is described in the Chronicle of Jingchu Years in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, which is called "Walking with All Diseases". Because of the homonym of the bridge, walking on the bridge means "seeing a doctor", in order to eliminate disasters and diseases. Walking Taiping is called a "living fossil" of ancient folk culture in eastern Anhui by folk experts. It has been passed down for more than 1500 years and is a unique traditional folk custom in Quanjiao County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. On the 16th day of the first month of each year, people gather on the Taiping Bridge outside the east gate of the county seat and walk down, which is called "Walking Peace".
