Brief introduction of Shandong fishing drum
Shandong fishing drum is an art form of Han rap originated from Taoism. Daoqing originated from Taoist songs such as Nine Empathy and Chengtian in the Tang Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, along with the simple board of fishing drum, it was widely spread since Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and combined with folk songs in various popular areas to form their own different tunes. The content of singing is mainly historical traditions and folk stories, and the religious color is gradually fading. It is named "Fishing Drum" because of its main accompaniment instrument, commonly known as "Shandong Fishing Drum", which is popular in Shandong. However, artists still respect Taoist priests in Qiu Chuji and belong to the "Qiuzulong School".
