1, along the direction of the kang, use adobe to lay the bottom, from left to right against the wall, with flue between rows, the distance is the width of adobe, and the blocks are tight. This flue should be aimed at the flue connected to the furnace and the entrance of the gable chimney.

2. On each foundation slab, two slabs are erected as columns (called vertical piles in jargon), and one slab is horizontally erected on two columns as beams.
