Disadvantages of furniture made of this board:

The birth of this kind of board promoted the transition of furniture production from carpenter's era to carpenter's era, and furniture from solid wood era to board furniture era. Although the large core board simplifies the production process of wardrobe and other furniture, there are still many shortcomings from now on.

1, poor environmental protection performance, in order to maximize the use of raw materials, the inside of the board core is small on one side, too much glue is used, and the formaldehyde content is relatively high, even most of the boards can not meet the E 1 standard. In addition, after the cabinet is completed, it is necessary to paste decorative boards and paint. At that time, newly renovated houses could not live alone, and even some workers who did not pay attention to protection were infected with chronic diseases.

The strength of this board is very poor. Due to the immature splicing technology of core materials, some inferior plates even use manual splicing, which has large internal gaps and poor bearing strength, especially transverse compression, and is easy to break under the action of manpower. Therefore, we must pay attention to the span of the frame when making cabinets.

3, easy to deform, poor nail holding ability

According to the splicing process of core materials, joinery boards can be divided into organic splicing boards and manual splicing boards. At the same time, the longitudinal seam is serrated, similar to two hands and five fingers interlocking, so it is called finger joint plate. Due to the improvement of splicing technology, the strength of this kind of board has been strengthened to a certain extent, and at the same time, the glued wood has been removed from both sides of the board, which makes the texture of the wood intuitively displayed, so the appearance effect has the feeling of a log, and even many furniture use finger joints to pretend to be log furniture, which makes people unable to distinguish.

The raw materials of finger joint board are generally Chinese fir, pine and camphor wood. Disadvantages of finger joint board:

If you want to decorate the outside of the cabinet made of finger joint plates, you need to stick a decorative plate and paint it. The cabinet or cupboard door made by this method is even more deformable than the large core plate. Environmental protection performance, although the board itself has made great progress compared with the large core board, it needs to be painted inside and outside the cabinet. If the paint material is unqualified, the pollution is still very large. Due to the shortage of raw materials, the raw materials of finger joint plate can be divided into jointed and jointless. Due to the shortage of raw materials, the price of finger-joint board has increased year by year, especially the finger-joint board is difficult to buy now. Third-generation board: the core material of eco-board is similar to that of large core board, and it is also spliced with wood strips, but now the splicing technology has made great progress and the amount of glue used is less. General brands of eco-boards rarely appear hollow. The front and back of the core material are no longer glued with plywood, but with melamine decorative boards with their own colors and textures.

The appearance of eco-board almost solved the shortcomings of finger joint board and large core board.

Advantages:

Environmental protection performance, the glue content of the eco-board is relatively small, and the veneer on the surface has strong sealing performance, so it is difficult to release harmful substances such as formaldehyde in the board. To judge the environmental performance of a material, besides the formaldehyde content of the material itself, it also depends on the tightness of the material, that is to say, it mainly depends on the formaldehyde emission of the material, while the formal cup test only measures the formaldehyde emission, not the formaldehyde content. Therefore, most eco-boards can meet the environmental protection E 1 standard, and some can even reach the higher E0 standard. The strength of the plate is better, and the nail holding ability is stronger. The existing splicing technology and tough veneer make the eco-board have high bearing strength in both horizontal and vertical directions. Due to the intensive splicing of plates, the nail holding ability is also excellent. Save construction time and have better appearance effect. The decorative panel on the surface of the eco-board is rich in color and delicate in texture, and no paint is needed inside or outside the cabinet. It not only saves the cost of paint materials, but also greatly shortens the time limit for making cabinets and improves the environmental protection. Since then, painters have gradually become painters, furniture paint is no longer used in home decoration, and paint shops only sell latex paint. Pay attention to the cover-up of nail holes. Because the wardrobe made of eco-board is assembled, there is no covering decoration on the surface, so it is easy to expose all kinds of nail holes in the cabinet made. The ecological board is sealed at the edge.
