1, Qu flute

5, sheng

Sheng, is China's ancient reed instrument, generally made of thirty-six bamboo tubes of different lengths, used to play. It consists of three parts: sheng reed, sheng flute and sheng bucket, and the vibration of the sheng reed causes the air inside the sheng flute to vibrate and pronounce the sound.

The thirty-seven reed soprano sheng is often used in bands. In traditional instrumental music and kunqu, the sheng is often used as an accompaniment to other wind instruments such as the flute and suona, adding pure fourths or fifths to the melody. In modern Chinese orchestras, the sheng can play the role of melody or accompaniment.
