In ancient times, Pingyang County, Pingyang County and Pinghe County were successively set up here. In the third year of Sui Dynasty (AD 583), it was renamed Linfen County, now Linfen City.

Dongyue Temple is located at the top of Baishan Mountain, 2 kilometers east of Puxian County, Shanxi Province. The cypress trees on the mountain are lush all year round, so they are commonly known as Baishan Temple. The temple is large in scale and complete in layout. There are more than 60 buildings, including mountain gate, Lingxiao Hall, Music Building, Chamber, Lounge, Dongyue Palace Hall, Houtu Temple, Notre Dame, Qingxu Palace, Dizang Palace, Hell, Turret and surrounding corridors.

The founding date is unknown, and it has existed for five years (1205). The existing Dongyue Palace was rebuilt five years after the Yuan Dynasty earthquake (13 18). It is five feet wide and five feet deep, resting on the top of the mountain and double eaves. The pillars are all stone carvings, engraved with five poems of Magnolia. There are statues of Dongyue Zhang Xianzhong and waiters in the hall. Finally, there are 15 caves under the horizon, and there are 18 layers of hell, in which Emperor wuyue, Ten Temples Yan Qun and Judge Cao Liu are shaped. Statues are as high as people, and there are more than 20 bodies 120, such as ghost officials, knife mountains, frying pans, grinding saws, etc. This is a rare group of clay sculptures of Ming Dynasty in existing temples in China.

4. Water accumulated in the corner of Guo Village, 35km northeast of Linfen City, Shanxi Province. There is Yao Temple in the south of Pingyang, the capital city, and Yaoling is built in the east, surrounded by earth cliffs, and the river flows south from the front of the mausoleum. The pines and cypresses are green and the mountains are towering, with a height of 50 meters and a circumference of 80 meters.

There is a shrine in front of the mausoleum, which is said to have been built in the early Tang Dynasty. In the second year of Jin Taihe (1202), the inscription reads: Emperor Taizong once lived in Liao and visited Yaoling to build his own image. In the mid-Yuan Dynasty, Taoist Jiang Feng ordered the construction of Yaoling Mausoleum, which was rebuilt in four years: Chenghua, Jiajing, Yongzheng and Qianlong. Now the hills are still the same, and the pines and cypresses are still the same.

There are mountain gates (music buildings on the doors), memorial archways, wing rooms, memorial halls, sleeping halls, tablet pavilions and other buildings in the temple. Compact layout, fine wood carving, red walls and green tiles, surrounded by clean cypresses, set each other off into a painting. There are more than ten stone tablets in the temple, which record the achievements of Yao Wang and the evolution of Yu Ling. In the 18th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1539), a complete map of Yaoling was engraved on the tablet of Yaoling, which was well preserved.
