Why do you want to package jiaozi for the New Year?
The origin of Bao jiaozi during the Spring Festival is closest to the truth: in the Eastern Han Dynasty, a famous doctor named Zhang Zhongjing cooked mutton, peppers and some herbs for dispelling cold in a pot, cut them into pieces, and made ear-shaped "Joule" from dough, named "Quhan Joule Soup".
After eating the "Quhan Jiaoer Decoction", the people were all feverish, their qi and blood were smooth, their ears became warmer, and even some patients' rotten ears were cured. Zhang Zhongjing didn't give up taking medicine until New Year's Eve. On New Year's Day, people greet the New Year and celebrate the recovery of rotten ears. They cook food for the New Year like burnt ears and eat it on the first morning. This is the origin of jiaozi during the Spring Festival.
