What are couplets?

There are eight straight pieces of classical wood in the house. One of Su Dongpo's favorite students sat alone in his study in the cold spring, and it was drizzling all over the world. He saw the cold raindrop window and was moved by the scene before him. He sang a couplet of freezing rain, which was divided into two parts. This couplet is wonderful. "Frozen" is divided into "East", "Two" and "Sprinkle" and "West", but he thought about it for a long time and didn't get the second couplet.
