(A) About the School's History

Southwest University of Political Science and Law is one of the earliest institutions of higher politics and law established in New China. The infancy of the legal system in new China gave birth to the Southwest University of Political Science and Law. Southwest University of Political Science and Law more than half a century of wind and rain, witnessed the twists and turns of the development of China's socialist legal system.

Southwest University of Political Science and Law, formerly known as the Southwest Institute of Politics and Law, its predecessor was the Southwest People's Revolutionary University, founded in 1950. 1953, the merger of Chongqing University, Sichuan University, Guizhou University, Yunnan University, Chongqing Finance and Economics College of Law (Department) was officially established. 1978, approved by the State Council for the political and legal institutions in the only national key universities. 1979 began to recruit master's degree students. 1993, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council, the State Council and the State Council. Being located in the west indicates the hardship of the history of running the Southwest University of Political Science and Law.

At present, the Southwest University of Political Science and Law has developed into a teaching and research-oriented university that focuses on law, and coordinates the development of law, economics, management, literature, philosophy and other disciplines. Southwest University of Political Science and Law has a teaching and research team with good development trend. For example, the school led the establishment of the "China Rural Economy and Law Innovation Research Center", which is the key research base of humanities and social sciences in Chongqing, and the only academic research institution approved by the provincial government to study the rural legal system. The center completed the national social sciences "seventh five-year plan" key project results "China's rural economic legal system research" to fill the gaps in domestic legal research. In recent years, it has successfully declared three National Social Science Foundation projects, including "Research on the Protection of Labor Rights of Migrant Workers", "Research on the Legal Problems of Ecological Compensation", and "Research on the Legal System of Rural Finance in the West", and one National Soft Science Research Program project, most of which have already been completed, and has produced nearly 20 projects, such as "China's Financial Development and the Growth of Farmers' Income", "On the Ecological Compensation of Land Resources", "Study on Financial Cooperation Models of the Rural Labor Force's Organized Transfer", and "Study on Financial Cooperation Models of the Rural Labor Force's Organized Transfer". Another example is that after the "5o12" earthquake, a series of legal issues related to the rights and interests of the people in the disaster area and post-disaster reconstruction were formed. Such as the earthquake caused by the huge property losses by who to bear the risk of liability? Is the earthquake disaster exclusion clause in the property insurance contract of the insurance company valid? Do home buyers still have to make monthly mortgage payments to the bank if their homes purchased through a mortgage are damaged or lost? How to deal with creditors and debtors who died in the earthquake? Is the legal relationship between a mortgage formed by mortgaging real estate, such as a house, extinguished when the mortgaged property is destroyed or lost? Is an employee killed or injured in an earthquake recognized as injured at work? How to deal with the non-fulfillment of public donations promised in the earthquake relief efforts? And so on. In response to these questions, the university organized 11 legal experts to conduct research and put forward countermeasures and suggestions to the central authorities. These suggestions will help safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people in the disaster area, guarantee the legal and orderly post-disaster reconstruction work, and promote the stability and development of the disaster area.

(D) on the school's talent cultivation

Cultivating talents is the primary task of the school, and the quality of talents is the fundamental criterion for evaluating the level of schooling.
