What is the difference between a motor and a permanent magnet motor?

There are the following differences between motors and permanent magnet motors:

1. working principle: the working principle of the motor is to use the action of current in the magnetic field to generate rotating torque, thus driving the motor to rotate; Permanent magnet motor uses the magnetic field of permanent magnet to generate rotating torque and drive the motor to rotate.

Generally speaking, permanent magnet motors have the advantages of high efficiency, light weight, small volume and high power density, but the cost is high and the control complexity is low. The motor has the advantages of simple control, low cost and high reliability, but its efficiency is relatively low. In different application scenarios, different types of motors can be selected as needed.
