"No Wind Festival" is a traditional festival of Miaoping Yaoxuan in Lingui County, Guilin City. Legend has it that in ancient times, Fengshen was angry and the village was affected. Some immortals showed the way to the people, and on the 20th day of the first month, NO FENG フウカ was not heard, offering sacrifices to Fengshen, which proved to be effective, and this day became a windless festival. Before the festival, people tied some crosses with straw, pressed them on the corners of the fields and hung them on the eaves. All sounds are forbidden during the festival, and even clothes can only be spread on the grass. In order to avoid people coming and going to make noise, all the people in the village left home to go to Miaopingwei for the holiday. The festival activities are colorful, such as beating gongs and drums, dancing lions and singing operas, and singing folk songs when night falls. This day, once a day without sound and wind, became a happy event at Miaopingwei. These folk customs have brought great pleasure to Guilin tourism.
