What is Yuanqu?

The original song is the title of the Yuan Dynasty. Generally speaking, Tang Poetry and Song Poetry, Yuan Qu and Ming and Qing novels are all forms of China traditional literature. In the Yuan Dynasty, there were also poems in this form, but Yuan Qu became popular.

Yuanqu is a popular literary form in the Yuan Dynasty. It expresses the stories, thoughts and feelings that the songwriter wants to express in the script in a more three-dimensional and vivid way by taking meaning.

In China, there are four masters of Yuan Opera: Guan Hanqing, Ma Zhiyuan, Bai Pu and Zheng Guangzu. The four of them are representatives of Yuanqu, and they also have some very good works, such as "Injustice" and "Sha".

Although the original Song Dynasty was called Yuan Zaju, the literary form of his Zaju was actually the rest of Song and Yuan Zaju, so it was called Yuan Zaju.
