After hearing about this, Yamauchi Kazutoyo recruited the disciple as a retainer, and the dagger also returned to the Yamauchi family. Later, it was given to the Hosokawa family at the request of Hosokawa Fujitaka. The story of revenge behind Fujitaka Hosokawa's sword was combined with Master Saigyou's Japanese song "Sui Yue Yue Yue Yue Yue Yue ゆべしとおもいきや 明なりけり小夜の中山", and he was named Sayo Zuomonji. The name contains the meaning of "Destiny's Great Event Sword", hence the name.
