How many national festivals are there in China?

There are seven national festivals in China, namely, New Year's Day (holiday on 1 month 1 day), Spring Festival (holiday on the first day, second day and third day of the first month), Tomb-Sweeping Day (holiday on April 5 of the lunar calendar), Labor Day (holiday on May 1 day), Dragon Boat Festival (holiday on May 5 of the lunar calendar) and Mid-Autumn Festival (holiday).

Since the Mid-Autumn Festival was listed as a national legal holiday in 2008, there have been seven national legal holidays since 2008. Holidays on national public holidays are centralized by adjusting weekends, and the vacation time is released by the State Council every year. Local festivals, traditional festivals of ethnic minorities and festivals of other specific groups are limited to specific groups or local areas.
