The meaning of PS color halftone

Color halftone is PS effect and belongs to "pixelation". The two diagrams made with this effect are bitmaps.

Color halftone simulates the effect of using an enlarged halftone screen on each channel of an image. For each channel, the filter divides the image into rectangles and replaces each rectangle with a circle. The size of the circle is proportional to the brightness of the rectangle.

The picture shows the effect dialog box in AI, in which:

The maximum radius controls the size of the largest point in the halftone pattern.

Arranges the angle of the grid in a four-channel halftone pattern.

If it is rgb, then the first three channels are rgb, and the last one is invalid; If it is a picture in cmyk mode, it is the distortion degree of cmyk four channels. .

(The above means doing it directly on the screen. Because the gray scale of the channel is different, the dot and interval are also different, which should be consistent. Generally, we use new channels to do something. . This channel can only be filled with 1 twist angle. . )
