What is digital painting?
Digital painting is a new art form, which uses digital tools such as computer, tablet computer, stylus and software, and applies traditional painting techniques, such as watercolor, oil painting and pigment. Different from the physical media used in traditional painting, digital painting is more modern. Different from other digital art forms, especially computer-generated art, digital painting does not need computer rendering of models, and artists can create directly by using painting technology on the computer. In all digital painting programs, we try to simulate the use of physical media through various brushes and special effects. Many programs include digital style brushes, oil paintings representing traditional styles, acrylic paintings, crayons, charcoal, ink pens and even spray pens. Each digital pigment has some unique effects, which describe the real effect of watercolor in digital watercolor painting. In most digital painting programs, users can use the combination of texture and shape to create their own brush style, which is very important to bridge the gap between traditional painting and digital painting.
