List of Industrial Heritage Protection in China
1, Jiangnan Cement Plant
Jiangnan Cement Plant is located at No.88 Qixia Town, Qixia District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It was the largest cement plant with the most advanced equipment and technology in China at that time. The factory started construction on 1934, with buildings of the Republic of China such as Kunde's former residence, Xiaohuanglou, A, B, C and D residences 16 buildings. At the beginning of the factory, cement rotary kiln, pallet house, silo and other buildings were used. Later, narrow-gauge trains and staff living quarters became part of the factory.
2. Kebai Wharf
Baike Wharf is located at No.88/KLOC-0, Changzhou Street, cheung chau island, Huangpu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It was established by John Baker in 1845. The dock was selected into the list of industrial heritage protection in China and listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit in Guangzhou. Baike Wharf is the first stone wharf in modern China and the first wharf built by foreigners in China. Its existence is of great value for studying the history of China shipbuilding industry.
3. Lushun Wharf
Lushun Wharf is an important relic in the list of industrial heritage protection in China. Founded in 1883, it is one of the earliest large-scale shipping enterprises in modern China. China, German and French participated in the design and construction. Lushun Wharf has the first batch of industrial workers in Northeast China and is the first modern shipyard in northern China. It set up the first domestic telegraph line in Northeast China and the first international telegraph line in China, and built the first domestic water pipeline, which promoted the establishment and development of Dalian.
4. Pingxiang Coal Mine
Pingxiang Coal Mine is one of the coal bases with the highest degree of coal industrialization in modern China, ranking among the top three "Top Ten Factories and Mines" in China at that time. This is the birthplace of the workers' movement in China, and also the main outbreak of the autumn harvest uprising. Pingxiang Coal Mine once established the first industrial party branch, the first workers' club and the first workers' consumption cooperative, and held a general strike of Anyuan Road coal miners, which shocked China and foreign countries. It used to be an important part of Hanyeping Company.
5. Dagu Wharf
Dagu Dock is the third modern shipyard in China and the earliest shipyard in northern China. Located at No.27, Daguwu Road, Tanggu District, Tianjin, built at 1880. The main remains of the dock are Type A dock, the former site of engine room, slipway and dock. German scissors, British scissors and other pistols are also produced here. The completion of Dagu Wharf not only provides talents for the development of shipbuilding industry in North China, but also promotes the development of shipbuilding industry in China.
