Where is Funing local opera popular?

Funing local opera has a long history and is an integral part of Zhuang opera. It was produced in Zhenning area of Funing before Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty. By the mid-Qianlong period, it had developed from the initial one-act drama to full-length play.

Mainly popular in the towns and villages of Funing County, such as Chengguan, Guichao, Peiai, Naang, Dong Bo, Zhesang, Banlun, Huajia, Gula, Ayong and Langheng, there were more than 0/00 amateur theatrical troupes in its heyday.
