The use of ancient Yuhuan

Ancient round jade can be divided into four types:

1. Emerald jade: round jade with a central aperture smaller than the side width;

Second, jadeite: circular jadeite with a central aperture greater than the side width;

Third, Yuhuan: a round jade with a central aperture equal to the side width;

Jade: Round jade with gaps around it.

Then, what are the uses and significance of four kinds of round jade in ancient China, namely, jade jade, jade jade ring and jade jade jade? "Xunzi Outline" records that "please ask a scholar to give jade, ask someone to give jade, no one will give it, and there is no ring to give it."

This shows that jade jade, jade jade, jade ring and jade all had strict use occasions and purposes in ancient times:

First, jade:

In ancient times, when the governors visited the emperor and Dr. Qing was ordered to visit the kings of neighboring countries, they all held a meeting ceremony, which was called "gift basket" at that time, and jade as a gift basket was the most important gift, which was a very strict etiquette in ancient times. Jade is used to show respect and greetings to each other. This etiquette has gradually evolved into exchanges between senior nobles, and jade is also regarded as a basket.

Because the pronunciation of jade is similar to that of "Bi" and "Butterfly", ancient jade is also used as a buried jade. One is to put it under the deceased to indicate death, and the other is to put it in the mouth of the deceased, which is called "jade", indicating that there is no life. This way of using jadeite jade, at the same time, also derived the purpose of the author's mouth containing jade, and the title jade expressed the purpose of repentance and death.

It is precisely because jadeite jade has the function of predicting life and death that people with low status in ancient China often gave jadeite jade to people with high status to show their respect, greetings and loyalty to life and death, and thus developed into jadeite jade for friends to give to each other as a proof of confidants.

Second, the jade has been reflected:

Yuyuan is a token for people with high status to summon people with low status. The ancient emperor summoned the princes, and the princes summoned Dr. Qing, and ordered people to hold jade yuan as a voucher. When the summoned person sees Yuji brought by the messenger, he must immediately rush to the summoned person to participate in life.

Third, Yuhuan and Jade.

Yuhuan and jadeite are similar in shape, but there is a gap between them. It is precisely because of this gap that these two kinds of round jade express two completely different messages. Yuhuan means to repair, identify, and Jade means to break up and oppose.

Three years later, if the criminal exiled to the border in ancient times got the Yuhuan sent by the king, he would know that the king had called him back because the ring was homophonic. If he gets the jade, he will know that the king has cut off his wealth and there is no hope of turning back, because it is close to the sound.
