Introduction: Last summer vacation, I went to beautiful Fenghuang County in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. I immediately became interested in Miao dance literature after watching the Miao characteristic dance "Knocking Gong to Welcome Guests" in Miaojiazhai, Fenghuang County. Through the in-depth understanding of Miao village, I realize that Miao dance can step on its vigorous historical footsteps and cross thousands of years into today's art world because it has its own artistic environment for survival and inheritance. As long as we open the skylight of its artistic ecological environment, we will find that the cultural pursuit consciousness, which is suitable for the Miao people's self-sufficient economy and aims at happiness and light, is fertile ground for the Miao people's dance life and characteristics.
First, the traditional culture of Miao dance
By watching the performance of Miao dance, we can easily see that the original ecological style of Miao dance is more prominent in general, which is first related to the historical and cultural ecology of Miao nationality. Primitive worship and witchcraft culture have left a deep impression on the external form of Miao dance, not only in the physical objects such as props and costumes, but also in the action form of the dance itself. If the specific action forms are directly influenced by geographical environment, costumes and working methods, then the original flavor of dance is more emitted from the overall style and atmosphere.
Second, the status quo of Miao dance culture protection
As a manifestation of Miao culture, Miao dance is the most charming and mysterious. It is the oldest original ecological art. Nowadays, with the pace of the times, Miao dance integrates music, dance, performance and other arts, forming a unique art that goes out of Xiangxi, to the whole country and to the whole country. Miao dance culture has gradually adapted to the needs of modern society and has been widely recognized by modern society. In June, 2005, the first "Dehang China Drum Culture Festival" held in Xiangxi Tujia Autonomous Prefecture elected the fifth generation female drum king and the second generation monkey king, which attracted great attention at home and abroad. As an inspiration inheritor of Miao nationality, Long entered the list of the first batch of national folk cultural heritage inheritors in Xiangxi. In 2004, Miao Encouragement declared "National Intangible Cultural Heritage" and won the status of "China National Folk Cultural Heritage Protection Pilot". But now Miao dance is facing the crisis of reverse development. For example, the annual Drum Music Festival is a major festival of the Miao people, and all the Miao people are dressed up to participate. Miao dance runs through the whole festival, and the whole festival scene is very lively. Because many young people feel inferior to their own culture after going out to work, they do not love, support or participate in folk art activities in their hometown, so many villages have withdrawn from this large-scale festival.
Thirdly, how to effectively protect and develop Miao dance culture.
Miao dance has a long history and is of great value to the study of Miao history, war, religion, migration, production, love and folk customs. Since ancient times, Miao people's beliefs and national spirit have been included in Miao people's inspiring performances. Protecting the Miao people's drum dance art form will play a certain role in improving the ideological and cultural quality of the Miao people, building harmony and cultivating the spirit of the Miao people's courage to create and struggle hard.
On the recommendation of a friend, I visited Longzhouchang, who lives in Jiang Shan Town, Fenghuang County, Hunan Province, where Miao culture is well protected. After explaining his purpose, Governor Longzhou happily accepted my interview. He told me that in order to protect these precious Miao folk arts and cultures in Jiang Shan, in recent years, he took the protection of national culture as the responsibility of promoting national culture, and extensively collected, translated and sorted out Miao historical and cultural ancient books. And from the national economy, politics, history, culture, customs, psychological quality and other aspects of in-depth research, bringing together the gradually sinicized Miao people, stipulating that everyone wears Miao costumes and speaks Miao language, encouraging the older generation of folk artists to accept apprentices and pass on their skills, effectively protecting many precious folk arts that are on the verge of extinction, especially paying more attention to protection in major festivals and celebrations every year.
Miao dance was born in a nation without words, and it can only take living people as cultural carriers. For the inheritance and development of Miao dance culture, I think it is feasible to establish some huge folk custom development projects focusing on the formation of Miao dance culture in Miao tourist attractions, such as establishing Miao dance exhibition halls, developing audio-visual products integrating Miao dance introduction and Miao dance performance, issuing books and periodicals, and opening training to the outside world, which undoubtedly makes people interested in Miao dance have great difficulties. The rational spirit of a nation is an organic and growing cultural form, which plays an active role in a certain period. If it can't adjust itself successfully with the changes of history, it may not play a role in another period. Miao dance should also innovate constantly on the basis of protecting the original ecology and absorb the artistic essence of other ethnic groups and folk customs, so as to improve and develop the Miao dance culture of this nation. But the most important thing is that we must have a clear purpose while absorbing and drawing lessons from the artistic essence of other nationalities and folk customs. In other words, in order to promote the development of our national art, the world has entered a brand-new information age, and our national folk art culture must also be in line with the world, so that its artistic nationality will be more brilliant on the world stage.
China is an ancient civilization with a history of 5,000 years and a multi-ethnic country. Due to the diversity and multi-level of national culture, China's cultural characteristics are profound, and all ethnic groups in China have formed a Chinese nation with unified characteristics, so the concept of nationality itself marks a cultural phenomenon. As a traditional folk culture, Miao dance not only originates from Miao family life, but also is an important part of Miao family life. Due to many factors, its development speed is not fast enough, its promotion area is not large, and its popularization rate is not high. Based on the existing protection in China, more effective rescue measures should be taken. For example, through the development and utilization of tourist attractions, the Miao culture museum is established. Let more people contact Miao culture.
