Country

Country music belongs to the tradition, though its simple form has allowed itself to sprout endlessly into many similar staples. Like the blues - two genres that often share main themes, tones and songs - country music is, at its core, simple music. Most country songs are built around three chords, and flat tones, but these forms are so basic that they allow for many different styles, from honky tonk hard sounds to Western Swing improvised jazz. Country music came from Southern American folk (Appalachian and blues), and the early period of country music was simple and ethnic, using only guitar and fiddle. While genres were constantly being derived, the early period of country music consisting of guitar and fiddle through honky tonk and Western Swings to the early popularity of Countrypolitan and the Bakersfield Sound that made rock change styles thus being driven to traditional country music that became the foundation of modern country music.

Country music emerged in the 1920s from the folk music of the agricultural regions of the American South, and was first influenced by traditional English ballads. The earliest country music is the traditional Hillbilly Music, which has simple tunes, smooth rhythms, and narratives, and is different from the sentimental pop songs in the city in that it carries a stronger sense of the countryside. The lyrics of hillbilly music are mainly based on the themes of hometown, lost love, wandering, and religious beliefs, and the singing is usually solo, sometimes with backing vocals, and accompanied by fiddles, banjos, and guitars (there were no drums in traditional country music bands before the mid-1950s). The band performs mainly in homes, churches and country fairs, and sometimes takes part in regional tours. It is isolated from the cultural life of the big cities and remains in a state of self-imposed isolation.
